Trip Report 4

An early morning flight to El Nido, Palawan.  A quick hour on a prop plane was a snap after all of our previous travel.

Lolo escorts us to a jeepney.

Beaching it!

Halo-halo, meaning "mix-mix" consists of red beans, white beans, chick peas, Jell-O, coconut, shaved ice and flan.  It's a head scratcher to be sure...but oddly delicious.

Ella and Viv giving me a foot and back massage on the beach.

Dinner on the beach with my amazing in-laws.

The adults finish with dinner and drinks while the kids enjoy the very last drops of sunset.

Getting ready for our island, beach adventures.

We braved crashing waves and situations that made us wonder why a waiver wasn't involved.  We crawled through craggy holes to find picturesque lagoons with fish and quiet turquoise waters.  Well worth the potential bodily injury.

Our daily dose of coconut or three.

Tour-guide, Ryan became a fast family friend.
He crafted a hat such as the one Ella is sporting for all five kids.

Lunch served on the beach.  Fresh fish, fresh fruit, mussels, squid and a guy selling San Miguel.

Tito Buddy and Tita Fe

The art installation created by Allyn, Ella and Viv...because, no kids, we can't take them all home!

Lunch at some place with "beef stew" in the title.  Did not disappoint.
