It's the day after Christmas and the garbage cans are stuffed to the gills with proof of a happy celebration.  This ranks as one of the most action-packed Decembers in recent memory.  Ella and Viv were beaming on Christmas morning after they opened their friends "Sienna" and "Willow".  The decision to add these two to the Christmas list was last minute sending Mr. and Ms. Claus into a flurry of activity.  Of course, Ella's "Willow" was no longer in existence ANYWHERE...we mean ANYWHERE.  We spent hours calling Target Stores in Illinois, planned on calling in favors from friends and family in the south and west suburbs if need be.  We then contacted stores in the Denver and Pittsburg areas as Jerry was to travel their for business.  It was late one night, after the Denver Nuggets game that Mr. Claus took a $50 cab ride to the largest Target in the Denver area and lo and behold Ella's "Willow" found her way to Oak Park via Jerry's carry-on.  If this wasn't proof that Ella had made Santa's nice list, I don't know what is.  Christmas Day was spent in our kitchen with a table for twelve.  Surrounded by love and lasagna...not a bad way to spend a day.

Progressive Potluck/Carol Bombing with the Neighbors

Our song repertoire is growing and the bitter cold has held off.  Tonight, comfortable in hats, gloves and mittens with a little mulled wine to keep us warm, we visited several neighbors homes to treat (matter of perspective) them with a few holiday carols.  Below are some pictures from our photo booth as well as the carolers (and tuba, tubist? Seriously what are they called?) in action.
